Please give us at least 24 hour notice for cancellation of your scheduled appointment.
Your appointments are very important to us at Black Tulip Salon & Spa. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and guests on our waiting lists miss the opportunity to receive services. We know that life can be unpredictable and illness happens and we are happy to reschedule appointments with enough notice.
When scheduling you will be asked for a credit card for your reservation. If you do not cancel and you do not show for your scheduled appointment, the reserved credit card will be charged 50% of the service scheduled.
You may also be required to pay a booking fee (50% of the estimated cost) for any future appointments that will be added to your next scheduled appointments total cost.
Prices vary depending on the amount of color product used, hair thickness & length, creative process, and stylist's experience.
While we will always strive to do our absolute best every appointment with every guest, we are human and miscommunications and sometimes even unexpected things can occur.
To have the best experience possible, tell your stylist your honest and thorough hair history, bring pictures and tell us what you like about them, follow your stylists recommendations for product and aftercare. We make suggestions to help keep your hair healthy and help your color, curls, or smoothness last as long as possible.
If you are unhappy with your service, please contact Rachel or Michelle (or your stylist if they are independent) by calling the salon (616-377-7778) within 7 days of your service. We are happy to make adjustments, but we do not offer refunds.
Changing expectations from the initial agreed upon service during the consultation, disregarding proper aftercare, or doing a treatment outside of Black Tulip Salon & Spa that alters the service we provided within the 7 day time frame, could lead to additional costs.
When scheduling online you will be required to supply a credit card to secure your appointment. This holds your spot and cannot be used to pay for your appointment. As a new client, you may be asked to come in for a complimentary consultation appointment before scheduling your first appointment with us. A thorough consultation and accurate hair history and care are necessary in determining what your expectations should be for appointments for hair color, permanent waves, keratin treatments, & the like. We love photos! Bring your inspirations and tell us what you love about them. This helps us know time needed for the appointment, what the cost will be for your service, if it will take multiple sessions, and if the desired result is possible.
Consultations are complimentary and do require an appointment. If you do not show and fail to cancel your consultation appointment in a timely manner, it is treated as a no show appointment and you will be required to pay a booking fee (50% of the estimated cost) for any future appointment that will be added to your next scheduled appointments total cost.
